Increased Production Produces Jobs
As production increases, people are needed to maintain the stability of production. The people who make the product, the people who sell it, and the people who coordinate all these activities—many types of workers are needed.
In other words, as production grows, a need for new workers also grows, including job types previously nonexistant. And these new jobs give rise to new wages, increasing the amount of money in circulation. It is this type of circulation that keeps the economy moving.
On the other hand, when business goes bad, then jobs decline, consumption falls, production goes down, and there is less work to do, producing a vicious circle. In order to bring back good business conditions and richer lifestyles, this cycle must be turned in a positive direction, which is the function of economic policy.
増大した生産量は仕事を生み出す
生産量が増えると、安定した生産を維持するために、人が必要になります。ものを作る人、それを売る人、そうした活動を調整する人など、さまざまな職種に人が必要となります。
つまり生産量が増大すると、それまでなかった新しい仕事も含めて仕事が増えていくのです。そして、仕事が増えると、賃金が発生し、さらにお金が増えていくのです。こうした循環が景気を支えるのです。
逆に景気が悪くなると、仕事が減り、それに伴い消費が減り、生産量が少なくなり、さらに仕事が減るという悪循環になります。景気を良くし、豊かな生活をするためには、こうしたサイクルをプラスに向けて行くことが必要で、さまざまな経済政策も、これをプラスに向けるためのものです。
